and was disappointed.
Was hoping to try cassoulet, as I've never had it, and the recent posts struck me as intriguing.
Unfortunately, they've waaay simplified their menu,
and don't seem to be as French influenced as they were formerly, at least as far as food.
Although the dishes may or may not be French type in origin
(need to examine French food in general to get a better feel for that),
French terms aren't used, nor are flourishes on the menu reminisicent of any kind of French "style".
Ended up having a Caesar salad, and although service was decent, they forgot to put in anchovies which I requested, and brought them on the side after I mentioned it.
Moreover, (my friend commented that it may be the Italian vs. French version) that the chicken for the Caesar was not mixed in, rather it was in large half-slices on the side of the plate.
Still are looking to try cassoulet, or beef bourgoigne (sp) and etc. old French classic type dishes. Guess if I do that locally, I'll have to go to someplace else in town.
