Last Friday attempted to go to Casa Bianca because the Wifey always wanted to try it. IMO, Casa Bianca's pizza is as overrated as a Big Mac Wrap. Anyway, they said an hour wait, so I said blow me and promptly left. Heard about Capri down the road on Eagle Rock Blvd. The joint was crowded but we sat right down. It's family run and this is so apparent that it is almost creepy. Two of the waiters look very similar to the twins in that awfully strange Dan Akroyd vehicle "Nothing But Trouble."
The place was friendly, comfortable, and the pizza was just as good as Casa Bianca. Chunky sausage on par with C.B's, good crispy crust, and quality Polly-O mozz. Despite my advice, my goofy cousin ordered the Chicken Cacciatore (4 out of 10) to split and though it wasn't horrible, I would have loved to try the Eggplant Parm instead. Washed it all down with fantastically shitty Chianti served in the classic wicker-ed bottled. I'll go back for sure for the pizza and the chianti wine. SALUD!
