Morning did a Free walking tour of Soma/Yerba Buena Center (www.sfcityguides.org) It was very short about 1hr and only 3-4 blocks walking and saw a few new things.
Then walked to Canteen, 817 Sutter (between Leavenworth & Jones St). Sat brunch 8a-2pm. We had oj, latte, egg benedict, housemade special corned beef. Everything was good. $26.80 after tax before tip. They take credit card.
Stopped at Teuscher Chocolates of Switzerland, 307 Sutter St. 415-834-0850 for champagne truffles. about $1.85 each piece. Recommended.

Biggest surprise walking into Diptyque, 171 Maiden Ln, SF 415-402-0600 and finding they have 25% off Mariage Freres Tea from Paris. Regular price $16, on sale for $12!! The sale started last night 6/9/06 and will end when either end of month or when they run out!! The are already out of Marco Polo black tea (best seller) and La Route du Temps.
Ones I got: The Sur Le Nil-Tea on the Nile-fruity & lemony green tea in a container; and Ruschika-Russian afternoon blend.
Onces I got in teabag form: Esprit de Noel-Festive blend of tea & sweet spices; Eros-flowery afternoon blend; Bouddha Bleu-Green tea w/ fragrances of ripe fruits.
Total damage: $60 for tea! evil sale. :-)
