We've spent a few weekends in Normandy over the past year or so and have really fallen in love with the cider/Camembert/Livarot region (basically, the area between Caen to the west, Lisieux to the east and Argentan to the south -- we tend to avoid the coast).
But oddly enough, we've never really eaten well there. I'm not counting picnics with the aforementioned cider, cheeses and baguette, which are always, of course, extraordinary. It's on the restaurant front that we keep striking out -- and we're going back for Easter weekend. Anyone know of any little gems we could try?
Many thanks in advance, and I will be sure and report back on any recs we get!
P.S. The only restaurant in this area I've seen mentioned on the board is La Camembertiere in Les Champeaux. We were there last summer and were underwhelmed...
