...or anyone else who cares to play...
My sister might be in NYC in August & I'd like to steer her to a couple of good Slavic places so that she can get a taste of The Real Thing. Brighton Beach might be too far but I'd still appreciate any comments on stuff out there. I've had "hit or miss" luck out there...nothing has been bad but nothing has been "on the mark" asa far as the Old Country goes. I posted a comment some months ago that Gambrinus did have a first-rate Kharcho on one evening--close the eyes and you may as well be back in Moscow--as to Tblisi? I cannot say).
Anyway, where is there on Manhattan a good Russian/Slavic place.NOT the BS stuff but the Real Thing? Does ANYONE have real mushrooms? Shashlyk with pomegranate?
All offers-and improvements on these humble suggestions--are appreciated.
