Had a very good meal on Monday night.
I agree with what others have said. The decor isn't restful or intimate or particularly attractive. But the food and the service were top notch.
Our server was Chris, and when he saw that we were fun-loving and laid-back people he joked around with us and didn't keep up the stiff, formal attitude he first had. I like a server who tries to match the guests' level of formality.
The cured yellowtail, warm lobster salad and apple crostini were all great, and my partner went with the mushroom risotto, duck breast and creme brulee - which she also raved about.
We ordered cognac, and they were out of the one we ordered so they bumped us up to the pricier one for the lower price.
Everyone on the staff was friendly and our table was ready at 8:00 on the dot. So ... no complaints at all. For those of you who went during the first couple of weeks and were disappointed, you might want to give it another try.
