Cafe Brasil

Went here for the first time (in Palms on Venice Blvd, across from the Best Buy on Overland and a block west), despite living only a few miles from it. It was a Sunny, hot day and decided to check it out on Saturday after playing some basketball.

Ordered the steak sandwhich, which came with a salsa, some cheese...the grease/"juice" of the sandwhich seeped a bit through the bread which made it a bit difficult to eat...it wasn't a bad sandwhich though, nothing earth-shattering or something I would go back for again or anything thouh. Actually it was a bit flavorless, and I had to supplement it quite a bit with the salsa, as well as their "hot sauce".

Also had one of their fried empanada-dish with a brazillian flair to it. Forget what it was called, but it was a very light dough, deepfried, with some ground beef inside. It was a pretty good little empanada, not baked like the other ones I had had. Almost like a big fried won-ton.

Anyone with some particular recommendations/comments on this place?

Although the food wasn't particularly outstanding, I think I will return, since some of the other items seemed to look good...plus they are open until 10pm.
