Cafe Barada

Duxdad | Feb 15, 2009 02:21 PM

My favorite restaurant of all time may be the old "Red Fez" on lower Washingron St in Boston. Even though it have been closed for 10 - 15 years I bet it is still the single restaurant I have gone to and enjoyed. In the Duxbury area, once you get by Italian and Chinese ethnic food is nearly non existant. I checked this fprum and saw Cafe Barada in Cambridge mentioned. So off for an early Valentines dinner my wife and I ventured. Kids were away so the drive to Canbridge was just fine.
It did not disapoint!! The salad Barada was has good if not better than the Red Fez with it's Olive oil, lemon juice and mint dressing. The grape leaves appetizer were excellent as was the lamb and okra I had.MY wife had shish kabob was very good. We had baklava for desert and it was really great, not being overly sweet. All in all a great experience, only dowside, soooo far from Duxbury.
Will be giving Greek Corner. up the street, a try for lunch soon.
