There was a cranberry discussion on General Topics and my recipe for Cabernet Cranberry sauce was mentioned. I responded and added the recipe which I have been instructed to move. So here it is for those who want it. I made it on Wednesday with some Zinfandel I had open.
Combine 1 picked over 12 oz. bag of cranberries in a deep saucepan with 1 C.sugar and 1 C. Cabernet and 1 cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat and simmer until the berries all pop. Stir in a tsp. of tangerine or orange zest and chill.
