I'm looking to make a hazelnut tart tomorrow and I've ready that nuts (especially walnuts) get bitter/go off rapidly after shelling. I haven't seen anywhere that sells non-shelled nuts in LA (to be honest I haven't exactly been looking until today!).
Anyone got any recommendations/suggestions? I'm in the Silver Lake area, but willing to travel. Much appreciated!
