That restaurant was featured today on CBC's Beyond Burgers and I'm glad it was!
It is located on Hayden Street (Yonge and Bloor), a little east of Yonge (keep going, you'll think you've missed it, and then you'll see it).
The food is all organic and vegan, with Persian influences. In total, you can choose between 8-10 warm dishes (1 of rice, seasonings changing daily, 2 of "rice balls", which are filled with raisins and spices, a dahl, a mung bean dish, and other bean/chick pea stews), and maybe 6 salads (beet/carrot/apple, kale, black beans, and others I forget).
For $6.95 you can pick 4 choices.
All the food is locally sourced, and even the containers are biodegradable (like thick and dense cardboard).
My choice was the rice ball with raisins, the mung bean dish, the dahl, and the beet salad. I really enjoyed 3 of them, the seasoning of the mung bean dish not being my favourite. Overall, I'm very pleased with this new find, and I'll make the trek from Wellesley to Hayden because it is good value, good quality food.
