bulk yeast for baking? Mrs. Green's doesn't have it; Westchester

DGresh | Oct 20, 2006 04:33 PM

I bake a lot of bread, and always buy that pint container of yeast and keep it in the freezer. It keeps essentially forever that way. I'm running low, and went to my usual source, which was Mrs. Green's (in Briarcliff manor). The manager points me at those little expensive packets of yeast, and says they don't carry bulk yeast.

What's the world coming to? Any other suggestions for N. Westchester locations that sell yeast? I'm stumped after Mrs. Green's--
