Buddha's Belly

cvc | May 7, 2004 05:59 PM

One of the lesser sung newcomers of last year's Beverly Blvd. renaissance continues to be Buddha's Belly across from Opaline and The Grove shopping Mall. Run with true professionalism and hospitality by Jonathan Chu and Evan Silver, this place continues to hit all the marks in a friendly, causal neighborhood setting. At lunch today, we started with a small bowl of edamame and Japanese eggplant with miso. That was followed by flat noodles with chicken and shrimp in a spicy peanut sauce. But the signature Black Cod is the one not to miss for $15.75. We finished with refreshing cocount sorbet. My friend had two Chardonnay's and I had couple of Elixir tonics. The total came to $50.
