This popular neighbourhood eatery in Marolles churns out some of the best pizzas in town. What we had for dinner two nights ago:
- Ricotta-filled raviolis with black truffle sauce. Very subtle in flavour, typical of Belgian cooking. The pasta was cooked al dente. Highly recommended.
- Spaghetti carbonara was rich, creamy, and chockfull of aromatic bacon lardons
- Seafood risotto was studded with petit pois, and tasted absolutely divine.
- But the standouts here must be the pizzas: I liked the Quattro Formaggi and the Seafood Version – the former was dominated by Parmigiano-Reggiano, whilst the latter had mussels and clams in shells atop the crisp, thin pizza base.
Desserts were all excellent: tiramisu, zabaione, and a soft-centred chocolate fondant cake which you'd need to come early to snare an order.
The dining room at the back was bright and smartly furnished. There’s a very popular al fresco dining area which gets booked out very quickly. Definitely worth coming here to check out their perfect thin crust pizzas – some of the best you’d ever taste.
