brunch at Amuse....

Had friends in for a softball tournament this holiday weekend - they were staying at Hamptons Inn on 6th ave & 24th (?) - for $140 a night (?!?!?). Anyway - they called me to set up brunch and Amuse (18th & 6th) literally popped into my brain. $15 gets you a brunch cocktail and a selection of various brunch entrees - some fairly standard, some not. I decided to try the tuna and portabello napoleon with tomatoes and blasamic vinegar - one friend had the salmon, another had the grilled chicken sandwhich. The napoleon was delicious - never would have thought to pair tuna and portobello - but it worked really well. The bloody mary's were tasty - we all had another round - I think the grilled chicken sandwhich friend had a total of three. The bill with tip came to $30 a piece. I definitely be back....
