broad st. theater area - italian bistro

As a last minute thing, we saw a play at the Academy of Music last night. Of course, there are no reservations left on a saturday afternoon for that night. We couldn't spend a lot of time waiting at a byob.
So we went to Italian Bistro on Broad st. (between locust and walnut). Even for a chain, it was bad. The salad was straight from the bag (mostly iceberg lettuce). The dressing came in a little white cup like you would put ketchup in at a fast food restaurant. I ordered the marsala grill entree ($18). It included chicken (remarkably tough), shrimp (not fresh), and sausage (ok). The vegetables on the side were good though. I would never go back.
Also went to the bar at Ruth's Chris on broad st. to grab a drink. The couple next to me asked for the ceviche "well done." The bartender told them that ceviche is essentially raw, but that they could make it well done just for them. I wondered about that for a while.
