Went to this new brick oven pizza on Amsterdam and 122nd - a block from Max Soha to the South, and the Indian and Ethiopian joints to the north.. getting to be the good food district of Morningside Heights.
Anyway, the place was average to poor - though hopefully it will improve, as it is only 4 days old.
We ordered two pizzas: one with all veggies that was very soggy in the middle (fairly good fresh veggies, though that isn't THAT hard) and another, with "salami" (tiny pepperoni)that was only mildly soggy in the middle.
The kicker: one of us ordered parmesan, the waiter brought out a dish of a VERY finely ground and pale parmesan and spooned it onto a slice... oops, it was sugar! An apology? Not really, he blamed it on the runner. Any replacement? Nah. Any discount on the bill? Nah.
Am I going back soon? Well, to be honest, some of the other stuff looked okay, like a plate of fries, so I might head back for one more shot.
