After following the tradition on Chinese New Year's Day of eating only vege, to break my fast on Thursday, I wanted some meat. A combo Filipino breakfast from Ling Nam turned out to be a meat eater's delight for $6.95 and kept me well-fed for lunch too.
I chose pork chops and longonisa. Lo and behold, the combo includes TWO pork chops and TWO fat links of red-stained sausage, along with garlic rice, a couple slices of tomato, and two small fried eggs. The pork chops were deep-fried and golden, staying moist and sweet. They had a rim of that tasty firm fat that I tried hard to not eat. I didn't like the longanisa as well, too sweet/candied for my taste. The garlic rice was dryer and not as oily as the others I've tried.
