Bread from Beirut vegetarian combo lunch

Just finished the combo plate from there (45th between 5th and 6th) and it is quite good. For under $10, I had my choice of 5 dishes (out of a selection of maybe 10 or so). All seemed to be vegetarian, and came with two sorta pita slices.

The mujadarrah (sp?) was good, but it's hard to go wrong with lentils with fried onions. The best dish was the slightly vinegary eggplants and peppers. Spinach with onion and potato slices was also excellent. The carmelized cauliflower was good. The only disappointment was the stuffed grape leaves, as the rice seemed too crunchy for me.

All in all, a nice inexpensive combination of good tastes. I'll go back when I'm in the neighborhood.
