Bobbie's Dairy Dip question

Will Owen | | Feb 15, 2010 02:39 PM

We moved away to SoCal from Nashville ten years ago, but I'm still remembering the one and only thing that made me drop by the Dairy Dip whenever I had the chance: their Polish sausage. It was not sourced locally, but was the juicy, faintly smoky sausage I grew up with in Illinois, with finely-ground pink meat and little yellow mustard seeds here and there. I found that I could buy it in bulk at the butcher shop behind Bobbie's, if I got there early enough, since they ordered it from out of town. And they (and Bobbie's) refused to say WHERE they got it...

Now of course what was the butcher shop is now Miel Restaurant, and while I became a huge fan of that place on our first (and so far only) visit, I'm wondering about that sausage. Did it stay or did it go? Anyone?
