Food loaded with deep lazy visceral satisfaction. Nice cornmeal coat on the fried catfish, a decent fish in and of itself. Beans and rice are awesome -- plenty of goodness in the soft beans piqued with a fair amount of spice. It lingered with a light glower. Collard greens were also enjoyable, bearing an appropriate resilience, the hammy flavours from bits of pork obvious and savoury.

A pleasant dose of cinnamon in the apple pie with a notably good and slightly crumbly crust.

Sweet ice tea is as disappointing as previously described here (if only I remembered the warnings before, not after tasting the tea).

Sweet spotty service, but hospitable all the same. I felt at home.
