Thank the gods! There is someone out there who has finally answered my prayers!
Ok, so this isn't restaurant related, but it's food related! Everyone, run...IMMEDIATELY...to the grocery store and pick up a half gallon of Homemade Vanilla Bluebell Ice Cream. It's like frozen cocaine...can you mainline ice cream?
You may have seen the billboards around town. "We're cranky about flavor."
You see, I grew up in Louisiana and Bluebell is from Brenham, Tx. Man, they know how to make ice cream.
I can honestly say, I've never had better ice cream in my life, ever, period. Better than Cold Stone, Marble Slab, Baskin Robbins, Hagen daz, Ben & Jerry's, Carvel, etc. These are fightin' words, I know. But, as we say in the south, "It's so good, it'll make you want to slap your momma!"
Whenever I go home, or anywhere south of the Mason-Dixon and east of Texas, I make it a primary goal to eat at least a gallon of Bluebell. Now, I won't have to do that.
Make sure you try the Homemade Vanilla first. It's the best flavor. And, don't molest it with chocolate sauce or anything else. It's perfection as it is.
