Blue Point San Diego

Had dinner a couple of nights ago at Blue Point in San Diego at the recommendation of a colleague that had eaten there the night before. Decent wine selection (though mostly overpriced) - we settled on a very good and reasonably priced Albarino. A salmon tartare amuse bouche with dill and onions was excellent. Steamed clams also excellent - the champagne and whole grain mustard was an interesting presentation I have not seen before. My beet (orange, very fresh and delicate flavor) and baby greens salad was well done. The miso and tangerine marinated salmon was spectacular - soba noodles were great for sopping up the spicy tangerine-chili sauce and the shrimp-vegetable spring roll was tasty with just the right degree of crispiness. Creme brulee also well done. Service was pretty good except that they forgot an after dinner wine I ordered (although it did not show up on the bill). I would definitely go again.
