Which SF restaurant should I pick for a birthday dinner (my birthday, I'm not paying).
There is no price limit, but I really dislike the overly formal places like Masa, etc.
Was going to drive up to Talent, Oregon and try New Sammy's Cowboy Bistro, but cooler heads prevailed.
I love Jeanty at Jacks and loved Incanto, but time for something new.
I saw A16 mentioned in a post as not so hot. Is this true?
I'd like some place comfortable with great food.
No big splash places like Boulevard, Jardiniere, MM, 5th Floor, plz.
No loud music or entertainment. The only thing worse than loud music in a restaurant which also has 100 people talking is a Reno casino where oldies compete with a thousand slot machines in a blast of hideous noise. Add smoking to the mix and you're in a true nightmare.
Oops, was I out long? Sorry about the rants. Any suggestions?
