went to seafood village restaurant last night(bi feng tang).
this place is always packed and has probably about 30 tables.
i'd say about 60 percent of the tables had ordered the same thing which would be:
a mountain of freshly fried crab with a blizzard of fried garlic and chili. (five bucks a pound!)
house chicken (with ginger and oil dipping sauce) (8 bucks for a half chicken)
and a steamed fish (18.00).
we got those besides the steamed fish and got a boiled watercress with fish balls instead. (fishballs were nice but the veggies were a bit overcooked).
our crab was about 3.5 pounds and was pretty damn good. (slightly heavy handed on the fry job but very satisfying nonetheless)
dinner was topped off with a complimentary dessert of white wood ear, some chestnuts and beans in a sweetened water
on a side note, they also have pretty good lunch specials in the 5 to 8 dollar range.
