I used to go to B&G oysters a lot, and loved this place. However, since some of the turnover (Garrett leaving) I've only been twice, and noticed a drop in the quality of the food (still good, but not great). However, what really disappointed me this last visit was the service. One person ordered soup, which came out promptly. But then we waited about 45 minutes for our dinners. The waitress knew there was a problem but was trying to lay blame elsewhere... she came over and said she didn't know what happened to our dinners, and the kitchen wouldn't give her a straight answer, and it would just be a few more minutes. I don't know, I thought this approach was a bit tacky (couldn't she have just said she was sorry, there was a mix up, it would be a few more min. instead of trying to extract herself from the problem?). They did then send over a tuna tartar appetizer which was nice. But when our dinner did arrive, there was about a five min. delay from when the first two people at our table were served, and when the forth person was served. Again, sort of awkward, b/c it is polite to wait to eat until everyone is served, but in the meantime their dinner is starting to getting cold... has anyone else noticed the changes here? I used to love it, but don't think I'll be rushing back.
