Bergamont Cafe-- a place to lunch on a non rainy saturday

Since I haven't seen my friend in ages, we decided to look for a place to meet on a Saturday. There's a lack of reasonable choices or I've exhausted my resources for our budget range (meal for under 10 please). The menu given consists of your usual cafe dining experience with salads and sandwiches.

We ordered the sandwich / salad combo which was only seven dollars ( I say only because the pittance of portions i get at the corner bakery at the same price). The portions are generous and we couldn't finish everything. The soups sounded very good but we passed since a woman was complaining at the counter about the chili being to spicy.

Quick hints:
Be aware they pretty much only use ciabatta bread and romaine lettuce for all their sandwiches and salads respectively which is fine since the rest of the ingredients used are quite fresh and good.

Parking is free--lot not covered and the warehouses are not connected so walking through the giant puddle formerly known as the parking is not fun but the food there is worth a trip.

All in all it's a great way to spend your afternoon especially with some friends but be prepared for minimalist chic.
