We had a late lunch here on June 22 and loved everything about it. It is a lively and friendly place with excellent service. Our hotel made us a reservation. Even though we were an hour late, the restaurant held a lovely table for us right by a front door in the second room.
We started with bruschetta with tomatoes and a mixed platter with prosciutto and four different bruschetta including tartufo, peppers,one soaked in the most delicious olive oil, and another that I cannot remember.
Primis were Umbricelli con tartufo. The pasta was delicious, thick and tender. Having the tartufo shaved on at the table was fun. The flavor and seasoning were perfect.
Secondi were a delicious plate of chingale in a spicy tomato sauce that was delicious, tender and flavorful and a plate of grilled sausages that were sweet with a nice crispy outer texture without being dried out inside.
Both would have been better with a contorni of some sort, but we weren't sure we could handle it.
We had two bottles acqua frizzante and dui cafes.
The bill came to something like 50 euros.
