I saw Jim's post about Indigo Smoke. I had the feeling that they weren't smoking their meats long enough, and was disappointed (although I can't imagine that much, other than economics or taste, would preclude them from smoking things longer).
However, there is hope, I believe. I've enjoyed Fink's Funky Chicken several times. It is north of Route 4 on Kinderkamak Road (a little tricky to get to if going East on Route 4, but easy going West).
I think the ribs, chicken, and pulled pork are particularly good. There is just a counter, or take-out. I've had good posole and tortilla soup (specials of the day), as well. The only disappointment has been their pecan pie, but I can live with that.
