Bargain prix fixe menus in San Diego?

Scott | Dec 20, 2005 02:24 PM

Any bargain prix fixe menus in San Diego? Besides that one week in January, known as...uh, i forget the name but it is a week for restaurants ($30 dinners), does anyone know of any restaurants that offer up a bargain (value) fixed price menu? With great food, of course. Usually they are early.

I know of a few: Nine-Ten does a $20 three course lunch menu, Tapenade does a "sunset" menu for 28 bucks (again, a full 3 courses) that looks pretty good (it's on the website) and Roy's has a 3 course $33 daily menu. And another is Chez Loma in Coronado (not many mentions on CH, but there have been some positive ones.) I want to check this one out. $25 It's valid before 6 p.m. only.

I promise my next post will not be about cheap(er) eats!
