I am visiting from Chicago next weekend and have been determined to dine at Babbo for the pasta tasting menu, but could barely get through on the reservations line the past month. I just scored a reservation for next weekend through a connection who will be joining us. Problem is, he doesn't eat pasta (on a wheat-free diet or something).
The menu says the pasta tasting menu requires participation of the entire table. Is this a hard and fast rule? If so, how big are the regular pasta portions? Two of the three of us eat pasta -- does it make sense for us to order one or two pastas to start with?
And if I need to order an entree, any recommendations?
Thanks for your suggestions.
