Has anyone tried Babalu, on 44th between 8 & 9 Aves? I ran across mention of it somewhere and checked out the menu on Menupages.com; there were a number of interesting (and inexpensive) items, as well as an extensive daiquiri and mojito selection.
I walked past it the other morning; the notices on the door said "no muscle shirts; no hats or dorags" which, I guess, says something about the crowd. It's apparently more of a club than a restaurant (with entertainment) but, still, the menu has its attractions.
Has anyone been there? What's it like?
