Ba Xuyen dessert

Yesterday a friend and I reacquainted ourselves with the delectable Chicken Fu banh mi at Ba Xuyen's newer outpost in Sunset Park. We tried one of those desserts in a plastic cup by the cash register, chopped up yellow beans topped with luscious coconut cream. Tastes way better than it sounds, what an amazing combination. They have a printed take out menu now, with a couple of new items on it including a grilled chicken banh mi.
After that we hiked to the N station on 61st and spotted a new restaurant called 8th Ave Happy Beef Noodles, but didn't try anything, just stopped in for a take out menu.
And finally, as I posted on the Craving board, I checked out the new supermarket on 61st St. Great selection of Japanese sweets among other things.
