I took a friend to Ventana yesterday to celebrate her birthday. I had been previously but it was her first time. What an experience and what a price! We had excellent calamari, duck confit salad, pork loin (served with braised cabbage, mashed potatoes, mushroons, apples, bacon), beef bourguignon, and a chocolate - coconut - caramel cake. Okay, the cake was gratis since I mentioned her birthday when I made the reservation. The price after pain and suffering (tax and tip) was $41.00. We ordered way too much food and brought it home. The service was amazing (albeit timid) as they are chefs in training.
This place is really worth your attention. Yummy!
