I've heard about the magical drinking vinegars at Pok Pok in Portland (http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/431693). They sound amazing.
Up there, Andy Ricker buys some of his drinking vinegars from Asian markets and makes some of his own. I'm wondering if there's any restaurants in LA that are doing something similar. Anyone know if these Asian-style drinking vinegars are being use as mixers in any LA bars? Or as exotic non-alcoholic drinks in LA restaurants?
I'm curious. Would like to try it done well, without making the long haul to Portland.
