I've been really craving those early childhood days when I was living in Hong Kong and there were bakeries right by my residence where they sold great chicken pies. I'm not talking about the ones with airy/flakey crusts on top either. They had a more dense crust that got baked in the oven with criss-cross marks (marked by a knife/fork I presume) and were smaller in size. The only time I've had these since being in the States was in NY when my sister got some from one of the HK bakeries there.
Does anyone know of any asian bakeries that sell this kind of chicken pies here in Los Angeles? (Somehow I'm not holding my breath for this kind).
I know that Diamond Bakery in Cerritos sells the airy/flakey crust chicken pie. But I can't seem to find any other bakery in Cerritos that even sell a chicken pie!
