I tried Argana for brunch today. It's the new Inman Square restaurant from the brothers who ran the recently closed Marrakesh.
I was alone, and only tried one dish, but that one dish showed promise. I expected that "brunch" would merely mean lunch on Sunday as it often seems to mean at ethnic restuarants. I was very surprised, then, to find a distinctly "brunch" menu with breakfast influences. Crepes, omelletes, sandwiches, and three different kinds of moroccan pancakes. Nearly all of the menu items showed a North African influcuence.
To the point: my lamb crepes were tasty. Not mind-blowing. But good. Certainly meriting a repeat visit --perhaps at dinner, and with a group.
Incidentally, the atmopshere is somewhat similar to Tangierino in Charlestown. Very ornate Moroccan decoration.
