34th Ave (between 32 and 33). Had to try it. Friendly people running it.
I ordered an Arepa with pork, forgot the name...and a beef empanada.
Ate the empanada on my way home and it was great! Made fresh daily and fried to order. I couldn't wait to get home to try the dish.
It looked great. Nice sized slab of pork on a flat, white corn pancake.
And then I took the first bite.
In fact, the entire piece of pork was mostly just rubbery skin. Hardly any meat on there. Made me wanna gag.
Really too bad because it was well seasoned. Smelled great, looked great.
The arepa underneath was hard...but it was pretty tasty.
Will go back for empanadas but I doubt I'll experiment with their Arepa concoctions again.
