Aquagrill Review

I ended up at Aquagrill tonight and wanted to report back. As I explained in a prior note, both I and my dining guest (my father) are doing the low carb/no bread/pasta thing. What a fantastic meal! I had been there only once before. Dad was a newbie.

Apps:
I had the special appetizer--dayboat fluke sashimi roll special. Made with crabmeat and avocado and served with a soy-type sauce. Not only outstanding but an ENORMOUS portion.

Dad had the warm octopus salad with with peppercress, roasted peppers and onion vinagrette. He loved it. I was too hooked on my fluke to even contemplate a competing taste.

Dinner:
I had the felafel crusted salmon. Whoever figured out that hummus and salmon would be great together is a genius. Mmmmm. A wonderful combo of flavors.

Dad had a special that involved bass and bok choy, but I can't remember exactly what it was. He loved it. I didn't take a taste.

No dessert. As I said, we're on diets this week.

Also, the vibe was great. "Nice," but not fancy or uptight. And reasonably priced, we agreed. Grew a little loud as the night wore on.

Mom isn't a seafood lover, so, now, this will be our new father-daughter place. We plan to work our way through the rest of the menu whenever mom is out of town.
