I went to Vinny's at Night in Somervile on Thursday night and was surprised to find that they no longer have the antipasto table, although it's still on the menu. They did offer an antipasto platter. We didn't order it, so I can't report on it.
We asked the waiter about the antipasto table, and he said that it was too expensive to maintain and not enough people ordered it, so they wasted a lot of food.
I hope this isn't a sign that Vinny's is struggling. The food quality was very good, as always, especially the homemade mafalde pasta and anything with tomato sauce. I had the veal chop, which had a delicous sauce, with mushrooms and sundried tomatoes. I thought the meat was fattier and less tasty than when I've had it before.
