Had lunch at Annona for Summerlicious. Well worth the $20/person. Service was impeccable. The restaurant is very small, but it's great for a quite lunch with friends.
The selection for the $20 menu was also good.
Rather than the usual thin soup or greens, Annona started off with a complimentary amuse bouche. We had a melon soup in an espresso cup.

- My mom's friend ordered this. The tomatoes were perfectly ripened. The portion was good. I didnt get to taste this but the friend loved it...
Smoked Salmon and Cucumber Bundles
Creamy Caper and Dill Dressing
- I really, really enjoyed this. There were 3 nice-sized bundles of smoked salmon wrapped with cucumbers. Toasted capers and the dressing was a great combo.

Pan Seared Halibut
Warm Pancetta Spiced Olive Vinaigrette, Grilled Summer Squash, Sautéed Greens, Steamed New Potatoes
- I am not sure if they splashed some truffle oil in the sauteed greens but there was a nice earthy flavour that made me wish for more greens. The halibut was very, very fresh. Firm flesh, juicy inside, lightly caramelized outside. It was a good sized portion.
Grilled Lamb Loin Entrée Salad
Summer Vegetable Brunoise, Sun Dried Tomato and Thyme Dressing, Marinated Artichokes
- I didn't have this one. My mom did and she gave me some to try. The lamb was really nice. medium rare inside. But, portion-wise, I would go for the halibut.
Dessert - Choose 1
I can only, only, only rave about their desserts. Everyone at the table was blown away by them. They were THAT good. Best choice would be the Chocolate Macadamia parfait, second choice - strawberry shortcake.
One word to describe the desserts: Phenomenal
