Been invited to a birthday party at the end of the month to this Ghiradelli Square Vietnamese restaurant that is supposedly owned by Don Johnson of Miami Vice fame. Been hearing of it for years. Now is my chance on someone else's nickle. So, anyone got anything to say about it, to recommend dishes, or to issue dire warnings of verboten items? Or truth be told, would you just rather go to a great mom and pop Vietnamese restaurant in a run down neighborhood, than step into this high end (am I right?) gourmet temple of overdone concept food? I'm all ears, as this is not a place I would normally go, as down and dirty holes-in-the-wall places fit the missus and me a whole lot better. But I am looking forward to going. Thanks.
