Amerigo, what's up here?

When Amerigo opened we had a number of good meals there. Lately there seems to be problems with both staff and food. We had a way less than satisfying lunch there yesterday and I am wondering if others are having the same experience. We got there 1 1/2 hours after their posted opening and the door was locked. We banged and they let us in. They had no idea it was locked and had only one seated party at 12:30pm. Is this their typical crowd in the middle of lunch?? My friend ordered the salad nicoise which came with no haricot vert (they were out and subbed asparagus) and no potatoes (they forgot). It had a balsamic vinegar which a real salad nicoise would not feature. She complained and was brought a plate with a few slices of steamed plain potato to add to her salad. Later the waiter brought her a free dessert.
I did not complain about my salad, but it was also not something I'd ever order again. It was an asian seafood salad. Very little and very small seafood. It was supposed to have Asian pear. I detected one tiny little bit the size of a raisin. The veggies were chopped so fine I had trouble stabbing it with the fork and getting it to stick which was just annoying. The dressing was a lemon wasabi, but 1/2 way through my whole plate just tasted like wasabi flavored lettuce. I gave up. We also had a perfectly fine spinich artichoke dip as an appetizer, but the bread which looked liked sort of crusty overcooked chewy pita was just weird. I ended up spreading it on the loaf bread they had brought out to go with olive oil. These salads were $12 each and we were hungry when we where finished. I'm not eager to return. I really liked this place when they first opened up. Can you talk me out of not returning?
