We Two had a great meal (as allways) @ Chez Henri the other night, and I just had to gush over the Steak Tartar App. Great quality steak, very tender, nice (non trad) spicing with hot peppers & pickled red onions. Served with taosted french bread slices that had manchego cheese melted on them. The contrast between the cool tartar & warm melty, cheesey toast, the perfect balance of spicy & meaty, tart & sweet... YUM!!
Also, my other half got a great lobster soup (also App) that was clearly Thai influenced, but with a Chez Henri twist.... cocconut milk & cliantro, sweet fresh peas, lots of lobster.. A little spice heat..Also just right. It's the second soup we've had there where they brought the broth to the table seperately & poured it over the solid ingediants in the bowl. You might think that that wouild interfere with the ability of the flavors to meld, but in both cases the result was spectacular... Again YUM !!!
