Allnightathon Potentials Vol. 1 - Hollywood Grill

Vital Information | Oct 13, 2003 12:44 PM

Hollywood House, formerly known as Huddle House, has existed at the corner of North and Ashland through many incarnations of this part of town. Its greatest feature, right now, is a parking lot just south of the restaurant on Ashland. As a 24 hour place, it is a choice for the allnightathon.

Menu: Color photography, heavy laminated, three fold example. Options beyond the typical grill include various "hobo skillets", slightly Mexican options[ed. what does slightly mean? Well, the eggs with chorizo and green chili's gets topped with montererry jack cheese, that's slightly], and dinner specials. Thus, Hollywood Grill is more accurately considered a coffee shop than a grill (also see below).

Visible grill: No

Coffee and cream: Typical commercial style coffee in constant state of brew; packaged plastic thimbles of half-n-half.

Types of toast: 3 - "greek", white and wheat

Jelly: Tiny packages of smuckers, mostly grape, a few mixed fruit (??) and one cherry.

Is the old greek guy slinging hash: No

Number of cops on recent visit: 2

Number of customers smoking un-filtered cigarettes on recen visit: 1

Hash browns: Not so crisp but pleasantly greasier than typical

Burger: tbd

Special feature: CCTV showing views of the parking lot
