Aldo's in Santa Cruz for breakfast

Hey CH-er's, just wanted to drop a quick line about Aldo's at the harbor. We tried it for breakfast last Saturday, after reading some of the earlier postings on this board. Wow! For one thing, it was not so crowded that we had to wait for 30 minutes (like Linda's Seabreeze often is.) So the fact that it is a bigger space is a real plus. I ordered the eggs benedict with smoked salmon, it was great. Nice big pieces of salmon, eggs done perfectly. It came with a side of home fries, which were also very good. I especially enjoyed the sweet red peppers that were cooked in with the potatoes. My partner had her usual "test a new restaurant breakfast" of scrambled eggs, fruit bowl and toast. Unfortunately, the waiter brought the home fries instead of the fruit, so Jean ate the home fries instead. (the waiter offered to take back her plate, but once she saw how good the potatoes looked, she kept it!) The coffee was delicious and fresh. All in all, a really great breakfast. I look forward to returning soon. Thanks to all of you who recommended it previously!
