Just wanted to pass on this experience to anyone who has been contemplating using this service. I don't think they've worked out the kinks yet.
They were supposed to arrive between 6:30-8pm, they didn't call to say they would be running late. At 8pm, I called the Customer Service number and waited on hold for 45 minutes until someone finally picked up. She said she would call dispatch and find out what was going on. She put me on hold for another 15 minutes. When she came back, she told me she couldn't get through to the driver to find out what was going on but she would call me as soon as she knew something.
When they finally arrived at 9:30 the frozen foods were totally melted. It's clear the items had been sitting in the truck for a long time, nothing was remotely cold that was supposed to be. Then the driver was rude, blamed dispatch for giving him bad directions and left one of his crates behind.
I'd give it another try in a few months. I suspect that it's too new to really judge properly. I sure do miss Home Grocer.
