Alba Restaurant in Quincy

Had a great dinner at the Alba restuarant in Quincy. A number of places have moved through the old bank that it occupies, but so far this is the best of them all. The restaurant is L shaped - with a large bar area and long seating area. The food was well priced and the lamb shank I had was delightful. Perfectly cooked and spiced. Had a grilled red pepper topped with polenta and spaghetti squash on the side - both were well cooked and had lots of flavor. My husband had a basic steak with onions and it was perfectly cooked. Great wine options and appetizers at a reasonable price ($90 without tip for a $30 bottle of wine, 2 asppetizers, 2 main courses and a dessert). All in all, a good option for those looking for relatively fine dining in Quincy. The only draw back was poor ventilalation in the bar area so we smelled like we had smoked a pack or two of cigrettes when we left. Next time I would skip the bar altogether and go straight for dinner.
