Once again, I have procrastinated and avoided picking any restaurants for family that are coming to visit. I agonize over these visits, and end up doing it all last minute. With that said, plese help!
Cast: A few midwesterners who want to eat well, but not blow the bank this time. I've taken them all over before, and faves have been: Gr. Tav, Japonica, Steamed Pork Buns in Chinatown...
- I picked Vong, as to try something different. I just searched thru thousands of posts here, and the opinions seem mixed, if not leaning to the negative. Did I go wrong? Is there a better last minute pre-theater that will wow an out-of-towner...
Friday & Saturday:
I need two more restaurants that will pair well to create a nice culinary excursion. Something with enough wow factor in the atmosphere, and a unique menu that will pair well with an Asian fusion trip the first night. Argh. I'm thinking La Rambla (UWS - cheaper, good) and maybe Danube (Austrian is interesting, right)? Anything without a difficult reservation, but for the out-of-townies...
Thanks for any ideas.
