Went on a rainy Monday night, feeling vaguely pre-flulike.
The waiter suggested the short ribs, I rarely eat meat but when I do I expect it to be first class.
Those ribs were,a big portion cooked for a nice long time so the meat was soft with that nice layer of fat & attendant sweetness, put on a big helping of Rosemary mashed potatoes -neither lumpy nor gluey nor overpowered by the herb. & a jus, which really was the result of good long cooking, My mother asked for a side dish of brocolli rabe & got it. Cooked to a turn.
We finished up with espresso and a cobbler, I was too full to try it but was assured it was equally good.
Acme is expensive, but I found the food superior, the service excellent.
When I left it was packed, pretty good for a dreary Monday night.
